The System Overview
Halstead and Unilock, working closely together, harnessed the power of content to capture the essence of hardscaping - the essence of the Unilock product line in action. Our work spans many efforts across many platforms, working to drive a variety of goals. From attracting labor for the Unilock manufacturing plant, to building brand loyalty amongst their dealer and installer channels, our ongoing partnership has resulted in Halstead being regarded as “indispensable” by the Unilock leadership team.
Authorized Contractor Co-op Program
Halstead worked closely with the Unilock NY leadership to pilot a groundbreaking program never seen before in the hardscape industry. We designed a streamlined menu of critical marketing services for which Unilock cost-shared. After a pilot in the Northeast with stellar reviews, the program was rolled-out company wide to their 7 business units, across the US and into Canada. Halstead is currently piloting a digital marketing co-op program, with the intention of company wide roll-out.
Continuious Content Production
Halstead’s video/photo team is on the road monthly throughout the busy season, capturing the Unilock product line in the journey from plant to Authorized Dealer, and installer to the end consumer. Every design, every project, has a story and we tell that story with engaging video production. With the content library growing, our video editors are constantly re-mixing footage and producing ever-changing content mash-ups for Unilock’s social media, national events, product literature, and seminars.
Dominating Social and Search
In varying initiatives year after year, Halstead is trusted with driving traffic and SEO rankings for the 7 separate business units of the Unilock brand. We deployed our content-first approach to search engine optimization, driving more than a 30% increase in traffic in the first 60 days of the campaign alone. Additionally, Halstead worked with the NY office to launch aggressive Facebook and Instagram Ad campaigns. With laser-targeted efforts split across channels —contractor, dealer, homeowner—Halstead deploys the right content to the right person.
Speaking and Education
Based on the success of the ongoing marketing engagements with both the NY office and company wide, as well as the growth of the digital co-op marketing program, Unilock asked the Halstead leadership—Corey & Anna Halstead—to speak at all of their Authorized Contractor seminars. The presentations were delivered “workshop-style” and outlined the complete system we use to market our clients. Our mission? Provide the most relevant, helpful, tactical advice possible so every one of the hundreds of contractors could benefit.

Unleashing the Power of Video on the Job Site
In a series of multi-part project documentaries, Unilock engaged Halstead to capture the hardscape life. Working with Authorized Contractors in NJ, PA, and NY, we visited several projects over the span of several weeks (in some instances, over several months!) to track its progress and capture this contractor’s captivating story. In each episode, we uncovered a topic that would create a buzz amongst the contractor community, a conversation on social.
